DPD – a sustainable service provider.

DPD takes its responsibilities towards sustainable development very seriously. As a company in the transport and logistics industry DPD is acutely aware of its obligations both to the environment and to the economic and social needs of its workforce and society as a whole.

In the field of environmental protection DPD focuses above all on the reduction of CO2 emissions. At present DPD's high-performance transport network already guarantees relatively low CO2 emission values, because within Europe DPD transports well over 90 % of all shipments by truck – as opposed to airfreight, which causes levels of CO2 emissions which are up to eight times higher than road transport.
